RO is a Korean Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game or MMORPG that was created by GRAVITY Co., Ltd. that was based on Manhawa Ragnarok by Lee Myung-jin. The game was released in South Korea on August 31 2002 for Microsoft Windows and then around the world.




The Game was created an animated series which is “Ragnarok the Animation” and a sequel game which is Ragnarok Online 2: The Legend of the Second. In the game, Player is in a designated map in the RO world with environment for player that gradually changes with the passage of time. The changes in the features and history of the world take place as episodes in the RO timeline. The Player Interactsin a 3D Environment but 2D character sprites for front, back, side and diagonal facing.

The types of server supported gameplay are the Player vs. Environment, Guild vs Guild, Player vs Player. The game also supported by the game server are Group vs Group, Arena Combat, Palyer vs Monster, Player vs All, and various other specific scenarios at designated instance locations in the game world. The NPC or the “Non Player Character” run challenges and contests are also available with prizes, awards, and/or fame listing.

Well, I started to playing Philippine Ragnarok Online when I was in grade school, my friends actually influence me to play, what i like on that game is the graphics, the chibi character and the environment on that world, it's really nostalgic just thinking about it. even though i really don't know how to use a computer, i mange to play it. and starting that day i'm addicted to it.
